INTUBATING WITH NIGHT VISION GOGGLES

RFDSdoc recently put this article in his twitter feed – ´Orotracheal intubation in darkness using night vision goggles.´ A study that proves how laryngoscopy and intubation is possible with NVGs. Being a notorious war-nerd, it is a concept that geeks me out at the core of my being.  Find the study here. Also, somewhat related, in a podcast on EMCRIT a while ago, RFDSdoc discussed portable light sources for prehospital or retrieval work.

One Response to INTUBATING WITH NIGHT VISION GOGGLES

I have two problems with this study:
    1) There are no pictures.
    2) I still can’t seem to find a way to convince my dept. to buy a pair of night vision goggles.
