Highly recommended for anyone working in trauma. Excellent insight into the advances in battlefield and war zone medicine. Things we’ve covered on this blog before, as IO access, tourniquets, as well as modern blood transfusion protocols – and most importantly – the team work and professionalism seen throughout this documentary. Lots of small clinical pearls. But also an insight into the destruction and pain for the soldiers involved.

This first episode is the most interesting one seen from an emergency and critical care perspective, but you can find the remaining episodes of this BBC four part series on youtube.
